As far as generators in Pakistan are concerned, I have collected some real user reviews from online forums and communities related to Yamaha Generator. I’ve had both………..They are both great gens. The advantage to the Yamaha is, if you get the one with the boost feature, it gives you an extra 500 watts for the first 10 seconds or so. It draws off the start battery. This is helpful for things like your A/C unit which draws a lot at startup. I will say this…at idle with no load, the Honda is a bit quieter, at full speed the Yamaha is quieter. I really like the boost feature on the Yamaha, so that’s the one I kept. I’m very pleased with the Yamaha. I made a remote start for it and I can fire it up from inside the trailer…my wife loves it.

The guy above me made me think. I have a Yamaha YG2800i. My camper has a 13,500 BTU air conditioner. The air conditioner pulls 2800 watts on start up and then goes back down to 1700 watts. Will my generator be able to do the 2800 or is it just called a 2800 because it sounded better than 2747? What I mean is did they round up on its name and is it’s peek out put not 2800 watts? BTW I love my Yamaha, we use it for tailgating at Purdue football games and it is so quiet. Also it can sit for 3 months and we just take it out, turn on the choke and pull it 2-3 times and it starts right up! Its about 100x as reliable as my TTR125 which can’t even have a tad bit of throttle with out dieing
This person is talking about his research about Yamaha generators in Pakistan:
After much research (Honda vs Yamaha) and 2000, 2400 & 3000 (or dual 2000′s) models, went with the Yamaha 2400 with the perfect combo of power to weight to price. Was “Gung-Ho” on the Honda’s but so happy I discovered the Yamaha’s (blue vs red), the 2400 model is unique to Yamaha and really fits the bill, and although some claim it can handle my A/C, I’ve decided if I have no power then I can deal with all my windows open and fans on just to “enjoy the silence”, just make sure I stay out of the hot humid areas in no power conditions. Really, really, really wanted the Yamaha 3000 with 500w boost capability but I just can’t reliably assume I can lift that beast onto the tailgate of my 4×4 F-350, especially as I continue to get older…
